Siranni was sitting by the fireplace with Jeb and Spook reading an old novel. The music was playing softly from the radio giving the atmosphere a light, dreaming feeling. Jeb was sitting quietly by Siranni's feet and Spook was curled up on top of the chair. Siranni looked up at the window and sighed at the sight of all the snow. She knew that the next morning they would have a hard time digging through the paths to the barns, nevermind the pastures. Spook stretched and jumped down off of the chair and onto the window sill where she tried to catch the snowflakes on the other side of the window pane. Siranni giggled at her antics and got up to draw the curtains. When she reached the window she paused staring at the winter wonderland that that was consuming the land. Near one of the paddocks she glimpsed two of the stallions playing with each other in the snow, reminding her of the song that had just played on the radio. "Horses prance through a silver storm...." she hummed the tune while watching Smoke and Blanco dancing in the snow.
